All About Me
My name is George Serban. I am a resident of Abita Springs, LA.
My knowledge base includes a specialty in Baroque and Classical music and thorough musical theory knowledge. I am an active chamber musician and I play a wide range of musical styles.
I attended the University of Craiova in Romania and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance and Music interpretation in 2014 through the Conservatory of Music.
Before attending college I attended “George Enescu” High School Of Music, where I graduated in 2007 with a Certificate of Professional Competence as well as a High School Diploma with the specialty in arts\music.
I have been awarded 10 national and international first-place awards for competitions throughout Europe and have played at many international festivals. I was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra “Oltenia Craiova” under the direction of many international conductors from 2010-2014 as well as a collaborating member of the Romanian Opera from 2010-2014.
After moving back to the United States in 2015 I became a member and assistant director of the Northshore Strings Orchestra under the direction of Annie Young-Bridges.
In 2016 I became a long term substitute for St Tammany Parish schools which led to a permanent position as a strings teacher in 2017.
I am also a member of the Christ Episcopal Church choir in Covington holding the role of lead tenor as well as in-house musician for special events and Holy Days.
Ever since I started playing my first instrument, I knew I was destined to be a performer. In 2009, I began my career as a Professional Wedding Musician by offering my musical services at private events.
With an ever-expanding song list that is full of variety, it’s my joy and pleasure to supply audiences with amazing music and memorable performances.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, bar mitzvah, a celebration of life, or any kind of special event, you can count on me to make it one that your guests will enjoy and not soon forget.
